Provenance Tracing and Age Analysis of Lead–Zinc Mineralization in Qiyimuchang, Inner Mongolia, NE China

The Qiyimuchang lead–zinc deposit is an important in the Erguna Massif on west slope of Daxinganling, for which material source and age mineralization remain unclear. has been observed to occur Jurassic volcanic strata as a vein-like orebody, its strike nearly perpendicular that regional structures orogenic belt. ore mainly composed sphalerite, galena, chalcopyrite, pyrite, quartz, hydrothermal alteration zones dominated by silicification, fluoritization, pyritization are common within 1–5 m both sides vein. metasomatic characterized massive vein structure. process can be divided into three stages, pre-ore (mainly arsenopyrite small amount pyrite), ore-formation (pyrite, fluorite, tetrahedrite), post-ore (quartz-calcite veinlets with pyrite). Element isotope geochemical studies show trace element compositions wall rocks (andesite, tuff, etc.) bodies surrounding reflect affinity or similarity between them. S isotopic composition sulfide minerals metallogenic stage (δ 34SV-CDT = 1.6‰~4.8‰) indicate sulfur magma. Pb (38.5–38.39, 15.55–15.62, 18.33–18.41 208Pb/204Pb, 207Pb/204Pb, 206Pb/204Pb, respectively) relatively concentrated close average mantle belt, indicating ore-forming metals likely mixed crust mantle. A new zircon U-Pb 150.8 ± 1.3 Ma (MSWD 0.74) was obtained from andesitic tuff. Collectively considering geology geological analysis, possibly occurred during early Cretaceous. processes belong Cretaceous magmatic-hydrothermal activity extensional tectonic setting.
